Anywho, that's a fantastic M41B! I was sponsored to shoot a M41B in Vintage Sniper class during a BPCA silhouette comp. Long story short that rifle out shot all the other rifles on the line that day. They don't fit me worth a darn but I was impressed with the rifle in general.

I bought an Accumount repro scope mount and sent it to a trusted gunsmith. He is fairly busy and it took some months for him to complete the job. In the mean time I got a smoking deal on a real Swedish M41B sniper rifle, but that is a different story. This is a Swedish m41b sniper.
Some that have not been rebuilt since 1955 may still have the sniper disc . Also , at least 2 snipers have shown up from SAMCO Global in Florida , USA with 2 disc on the stock . A " G m41b " disc & a bore disc . After looking around a lot, I decided that I would try to get an M41B Swedish Mauser sniper rifle if I could still find a nice one. In the story that follows, please keep in mind that I am not very experienced and I am not speaking as an authority. Prior to receiving my M41B from Samco, I had never owned any Swedish firearms. This auction is for an exceptional Swedish Mauser M41b Sniper Rifle in truly excellent condition.

When first issued in 1941-42, six m/41 sniper rifles were issued per company and were a standard of Swedish infantry armament. The m/41B continued in service through 1995. The last unit to utilize the m/41B was the Swedish Home Guard and they used it until it was replaced by the scoped AK4OR, a Swedish version of the H&K G3A3 fitted with a Hensoldt Fero Z24 4×24 scope. Between 2000 and 3000 such guns were converted before Germany realized that it also needed quite a lot of snipers’ rifles, and stopped selling the optics to Sweden.

This makes it a rare version, although they all shoot very well or they wouldn't have made the cut when the sniper program started. Only the best and most accurate were considered and converted. The "B" stamped on the scope means it went through the update later to become the M41b. The m/1941 sniper rifles were m/1896 rifles of all three manufacturers, in 1941–1943 selected from the existing stock for accuracy and converted by Carl Gustafs Stads Gevärsfaktori into sniper rifles.

"Swedish Mausers" are a family of bolt-action rifles based on an improved variant of Mauser's earlier Model 1893, but using the 6.5×55mm cartridge, and incorporating unique design elements as requested by Sweden.
